Modes & Registers

Understanding Modes/Registers:

The modes or registers of your voice generally fall into three modes. Mode 0, Mode 1, and Mode 2. These modes represent different levels of your voice from lower grungy sounds to higher Mickey-mouse / kermit voices.

Mode/Register Overview

M1 (Mode 1)

This mode is referred to as the "Vocal Fry Register". It has a "Gurgling" / Phasmophobia-esque / The-Grudge noise sound to it. The sound originates from the lower throat / chest.

M2 (Mode 2)

This is your regular everyday speaking voice (Used 95% of the time). The sound originates from the mouth / tongue area, no special changes to the method of speaking is applied here.

M3 (Mode 3)

This is your falsetto voice. It has a Mickey Mouse / "Take On Me" aspect to it. It generally sounds unnatural and not very feminine, but very high pitch. The sound is focused more around the lips / head space, and very little vibration should be coming from the chest if any at all.
